SRE was founded in 1998 by Steve Elicker who had been remodeling old farmhouses from the 1900s and it was there that he learned to love the complexities and problem solving involved with remodeling. Steve started SRE after spending years in the Vail Valley and realized there was a need for experienced contractors with a keen eye for detail.

Tony Ferguson joined SRE Builders in 2006 with over 20 years of experience in the remodeling industry. He began his career as a carpenter’s apprentice in the Washington DC area with one of the leading remodeling companies. He went on to study Ecological Design and Energy Efficient Building at Prescott College as well as completed a Construction Technology program at Yavapai College. While in Prescott, he owned and operated Chesapeake Construction specializing in home remodeling.

Today, Steve and Tony have built an organization focused on guiding principles that include experience, satisfaction and pride. They treat every project with the same level of care and commitment to detail. Relationships in every aspect of the business are of utmost importance and they work to find the best subcontractors and listen carefully to the wishes of their clients. Their team is experienced and focused on delivering excellent customer service throughout the life of each project.
